Born in Tokyo in 1974. Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, Hokkaido University in 1997. Completed the doctoral program at the same university in 2002. Ph.D. (Agricultural Science). Currently a researcher at the Graduate School of Hokkaido University, part-time lecturer at Hokusei Gakuen University and Rakuno Gakuen University, and a research collaborator at the Hokkaido Regional Agricultural Research Institute.
